Brian Little
Brian is the great grandson of Verner
Eastman, a professional trombonist
who played in the Rockford Ill. Symphony and many theater orchestras in the
midwest as well as a guest with John P. Sousa. Consequently, Brian grew up
with an interest in the trombone.
Brian studied euphonium at first and then trombone in
college. After
college he put away his horns and worked in the transportation industry,
moving about the country and eventually settling in Gastonia.
In Gastonia Brian renewed his interest in music and played
with the
Gaston Symphonic Band, The Queen City Brass, and the Royal Brass Quintet as
well as other ensembles. He joined The Stardusters in 2008.
Brian teaches music and is the band director at Saint
Michaels School in
Gastonia.
